Talent talent talent talent and talent

February 1, 2011

This weekend was a nice calm few days. I stayed home on friday, did a puzzle, cleaned the apartment, went for a walk with a friend, and had an incredible drunken talent show birthday party.

There was laughter. There was a vagina monologue. There was a person dancing in a Bag. It might have been the best thing 307 eastern parkway has ever housed, and I feel truly truly blessed.

An enormous grateful thank you to Claire for MCing, John Montrose for his State of the Apartment address, Andy (my brother-from-another-mother) for the fake childhood memories, Anna for dancing, Tammy for the hand gestures, Gill for the caricature, Lisa for the soliloquy, Tamar for your voice, Johanna for a knock knock joke that ended with AIDS, Lori for the gospel song, Rob for the Native American eagle chanting, and of course Jake and Jaime for the >incredible< spelling.

Annnnnd – thanks to everyone one who was there, in body and in spirit *<:o) It was a great night.

Here’s the act that got recorded. Meet Tastyjake and Paleo:

Aww, so so sweet. Wish I could have been there to sing along, although I have never been very good at spelling your last name:)
